Bad News For Smallville [Mar. 21st, 2007|10:41 am]
Smallville Australia
[mood |Very anoyed]

*stands and claps loudly*

Congratulations Channel Ten... Well done.

You spend the better part of 14 months, screening all episodes of Smallville in order to catch us up with the USA. Showing episodes that hardcore fans with
either a good Internet connection or ability to buy the sets off Amazon.com should have already seen. And when you finally reach the current US season,
with episodes not out on DVD and that are hard to download at the moment, you move the show to the exciting new time of Sunday mornings at around 12.30am.

F**king boneheads!!! is it any wonder people hate commurtial Television in this country?

Tonight's ep, 5.16 Hypnotic [Jan. 19th, 2007|03:24 pm]
Smallville Australia

from The Daily Telegraph ...

Ten, 7:30pm

The main problem with this show is if you're not a regular viewer, there just doesn't seem a whole lot of point to Clark Kent and co's antics. Every episode deals with Clark's struggles with his superpowers. Get over yourself, super cry-baby. You're indestructible, so do what anyone esle would do and build yourself a cool house made out of Ferraris. Tonight he meets a magical seductress named Simone.

And ep description for tonight from the telegraph's TV Guide ...

Clark meets a beautiful woman who uses a magical charm to make people succumb to her every wish.

Ep description from Devoted to Smallville ...

Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers that Professor Fine, aka Brainiac (guest star James Marsters), is in Honduras and sets out to confront him. Clark (Tom Welling) meets a beautiful seductress named Simone (Nichole Hiltz) who uses a magical charm to make people succumb to her every wish. An enchanted Clark reveals his powers to Simone, who seizes the opportunity and demands that Clark kill Lex.

Smallville season 5 starts tonight! [Nov. 24th, 2006|07:20 pm]
Smallville Australia

Just trying to get this community active.

Tonight's ep is 5.01 "ARRIVAL". As the channel ten ads say, he discovers his Fortress of Solitude and we have a new villain in the form of James Marsters.

Plus Erica Durance was in Wednesday's Daily Telegraph in Sydney, in the Seven Days section. Plus there was short litle review thing of tonight's ep.

Finally the humdrum of teenage life in Smallville is over. Step forward Superman.

Clark is transported tot eh Fortress of Solitude, where he learns about his powers from long-dead father Jor-El befor enipping off to battle a few evil Kryptonians who want to enslave the human race.

Fans will note that the fortress pays homage to the ice castle set used in Christopher Reeve's Superman movie. Another nod to the celluloid franchise includes the casting of Terence Stamp - who played the villain General Zod in Superman II - as the voice of Jor-El.

Will Clark break out the Super suit? Watch and see.

Smallville pulled indefinitely [Aug. 23rd, 2006|09:37 pm]
Smallville Australia

According to tvaus.com.au

Smallville has gone from Thursday nights because it just hasn't been rating against SEVEN's comedies and David Tench needs a stronger lead-in, both in total people and 16-39.

As frustrating as it is to have another repeat Simpsons, it will rate better especially in 16-39. And is the easy alternative when there are only 2 weeks to fill until Jamie's Kitchen Australia.

A decision as to whether Smallville will return in another timeslot is still being discussed, but if it doesn't make it into ratings, it will definitely be back in December.

I blame channel ten's poor advertising.

Lucy rated 710 000.

So it looks like it'll be back during summer. Hopefully they'll premiere season 5 in the ratings season.

Next week 4.16 LUCY ... [Aug. 3rd, 2006|08:39 pm]
Smallville Australia

Yeah, channel ten's ad for next week kinda misleading. It's great that they're tying in the whole stones thing but people will be tuning in under false pretences. Although, if it gets more people to watch Smallville then I'm all for it. I like how they used images from tonight's ep to promote next week's ep when they should have used images from tonight's ep to promote tonight's ep.

Next week's ep is LUCY. I like this ep.

Ratings for RECRUIT. [Jul. 21st, 2006|08:07 pm]
Smallville Australia

770 000 for RECRUIT. Went down a bit but I partly blame poor advertising on the part of channel ten. That and the fact that it was up against channel seven's new comedy lineup.

Next episode, in case you couldn't tell from the really really nonsensical ad, is KRYPTO. Short version, it's about a dog with super powers.
